Delete your account

In the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the levalock app:
- Open levalock and sign in
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
- Confirm — your account is queued for deletion immediately
By email
If you can't access the app, email us from the address on your account at contact@levalock.com with the subject line "Delete my account". Include the phone number or email tied to your profile so we can verify the request. We'll confirm deletion within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, photos, bio, and prompts
- Your matches, likes, and chat history
- Your verification data and ID checks
- Your preferences and account settings
- Push notification tokens and device identifiers
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data is retained after deletion for legal, safety, and fraud-prevention reasons:
- Reports and safety records — kept for up to 5 years so we can act on repeat offenders and respond to law enforcement requests.
- Payment and transaction records — kept for up to 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting law.
- Hashed identifiers — we may keep a one-way hash of your email or phone number to prevent banned users from rejoining.
Everything else is permanently erased from our active systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days.
Timeline
- Immediately — your profile disappears from the app and stops being shown to other users.
- Within 30 days — your data is erased from active databases.
- Within 90 days — your data is purged from encrypted backups.
Can I undo it?
Deletion is permanent. Once you confirm, we cannot recover your profile, matches, or chat history. If you just want a break, you can pause your profile from Profile → Settings → Pause account instead — your profile is hidden but nothing is deleted.
